Raising A Well-Balanced Family is a comprehensive life skills parenting workbook developed by Tameka Monroe. Designed to enhance the overall well-being of each participant, this program is delivered through a series of interactive sessions focused on:

• Life skills development
• Education and career planning
• Financial literacy and money management
• Relationship building
• Positive parenting strategies

Participants also gain access to vital community resources for continued support beyond the program. Throughout the course, we host multiple giveback events aimed at helping families move forward—such as back-to-school supply drives, grocery giveaways, and resume-writing workshops.
This program is suitable for both adults and teens, offering tools that empower individuals at any stage of their parenting or personal development journey.
Program Impact
The effectiveness of Raising A Well-Balanced Family is evident in its outcomes. To date, the program has serviced nearly 800 participants. As a result of applying the principles taught, 408 children were successfully reunified with their parents.
In 2013, the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Facility recognized the program's value and inquired about implementing it for inmates preparing to reenter the community—underscoring its relevance across diverse populations
